What is a Core Outcome Set (COS)?
A COS is a standardized, minimum set of outcomes to be used in every clinical trial for a specific disease or condition. By developing and implementing COS, it becomes easier to compare the results of clinical trials, because they will all be measuring at least the same outcomes.
Why attend?
This is a meeting for beginners and experienced COS developers. There will be a how-to training school for beginners interested in learning about COS development. There will be opportunities for experienced COS groups to conduct collaborative work. There will be keynote addresses of interest to all.
Who can attend?
Students (e.g., medical school, graduate school), scientists and physicians in training, researchers, junior and senior faculty, patients and members of support groups, government regulators, industry scientists, and others.
